Margot François

PhD candidate, specialist in Cuban digital space

Margot François is a PhD candidate at the IFG Lab and a researcher at GEODE. By studying the geopolitics of the Cuban connection, Margot François organizes her PhD research around a regional approach to cyberspace, which aims to encourage cybergéoraphic and cartographic thinking. This approach seeks to question the idea of the island’s isolation in cyberspace, already politically isolated by the American embargo, and takes into account the infrastructures, the routing of data but also the place of the Cuban Internet user in the semantic layer of interactions with the rest of the world.
