Valère Ndior
Professor of Public Law at the University of Western Brittany, President of the Francophone Network of International Law
Valère Ndior is Professor of Public Law at the University of Western Brittany (Lab-LEX, UR7480). He is also President of the Francophone Network of International Law, member of the Board of Directors of the French Branch of the International Law Association and member of the French Society for International Law.
His research focuses on international law and digital law. He coordinated the Dictionnaire de l’actualité internationale (Pedone, 2021) and co-edited the book Enjeux internationaux des activités numériques (co-ed. C. Castets-Renard and L. Rass-Masson, Larcier, 2020, FIC Academic Research Award 2021). He has written several contributions devoted to the governance of social networks, the use of digital platforms in the conduct of political and diplomatic activities, the protection of personal data or the relations between States and digital companies.
His current research focuses on social media, online content moderation, Internet shutdowns, and the international legal framework for cybersecurity and cyber defense. He teaches courses, seminars and conferences on these topics in several institutions in France and abroad.
